Thursday 16th June Ile de Re

Ile de Re has a network of cycle paths, winding between salt pans to link up the six or so villages scattered around the Island. We visited Ars-en-Re, lunched on the main square, then explored a bit further West.

Ars-en-Re church, painted as a beacon for passing ships, also handy for lost cyclists.

Luckily I'm not the only cyclist towing dogs and looking a complete ninny

The Boss.

Archimedes screw filling up a salt pan. Or maybe emptying one. Who knows?

Black winged Stilt

A very common Tern.
