We are staying in a campsite at the confluence of the Vezere and the Dordogne, close to the river and surrounded by families of various nationalities, two swans and numerous cygnets. Apparently Mavis is getting a bit grubby and the boss has insisted on a campsite with hookup with electricity so that she can vacuum (George didn’t have sockets in his front garden).
We do have a small vacuum cleaner, cunningly stowed under a passenger seat. Most debris however, falling from the Jennings’ plates, whether edible or not, is hoovered up by Colin who patrols under the table at mealtimes, on guard for falling delicacies.
We visited Bergerac, en route to Limeuil (where we have spent the night), and walked through the old town and old port, after the statutory visit to the Office de Turisme, to stock up on street maps, and practise the French.

You look sunburned Peter, or is it an alcohol flush? Chris
