We drove to Sarlat, an old city in the Dordogne and left Mavis in an Aire while we explored the city. Colin and Penny are getting used to walking round the odd city now and are past masters at sniffing out discarded half eaten croissants and other treats; cities aren't all bad.
We stopped for lunch in the main square, and watched the world go by over a plate of bruschettes (beef on a skewer) and a chicken and champignon risotto. V. relaxing.
The evening was spent at an aire in Montignac, handy for the Lascaux caves in the morning, our last stop in the Dordogne. We ambled in to town for a nightcap drink in a riverside cafe, watching the local fishermen try their luck. No horlicks, so we had to force some vino down. It's tough.
