We stopped off at Rivedoux plage....a little village at the East end of Ilé de Ré...and had lunch overlooking the Atlantic and the Pont de Ré. Then we cycled to the top of the bridge (mutiny from co-pilot who wouldn't go all the way over), took a few pics and set off for the Marais, the green Venice of France.
Mavis parked in a layby next to the Atlantic.
Mauzé sur Mignon, a deserted campsite at the South end of the Marais, a lush and marshy patch of France, crisscrossed by about a zillion canals, apparently excavated by some monks hundreds of years ago.
