Sunday 26th June....Carnac to Mont St Michel

We had an early morning walk over the sand dunes to an abandoned gun battery; part of Hitler's Atlantic wall. Colin is sitting on one of the concrete emplacements, thinking wistfully about his last meal, the spotting/directing tower is in the background.

A rabbit seems to have crept in to the Atlantic wall graphic; there were loads milling about on the dunes. Much chased; they were never in any danger from les chiens.

We drove to a Heliotis, a campsite at Pontorson, a town 9 km South of Mont St Michel. A 3 hours drive from Carnac. It is a good site with river and dog walking on the doorstep. The cycle track here is just outside the site and goes all the way to Mont St Michel.

The first evening we cycled a few km towards the Mont. The dogs swam to cool off. It is mid thirties at the moment.
